Designed for pastors desiring to be ordained through the Wesleyan Church, the Cross Training program is offered exclusively through Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The courses fulfill the academic requirements for ordination set forth by the Educational Ministry Department of The Wesleyan Church.
Maximum Flexibility. Cross Training is only offered online so you can be in class wherever you live or travel as long as you can access the Internet. You can go to class on your time and at your pace and at your location.
Cross Training Duration
Approximately two weeks before class starts, you will be given access to your class, which is located in Blackboard. There you will be able to download a copy of the course syllabus, meet your instructor, order your books, and get acquainted with the class.
Cross Training classes run Monday-Sunday and most are three weeks long. Classes will incorporate discussion boards, handouts, videos, links, and other material to help you achieve the course objectives. All class work is due by the end of the last day of class. You will receive a letter grade for every class and you must successfully pass a course in order to be counted towards the Ordination requirement.

Each Cross Training class costs $180.00 and is considered a non-credit Continuing Education Class. While each CROSS Training class will count towards your Ordination in The Wesleyan Church, you will not be able to receive College credit for any CROSS Training course you take. If you would like to receive College credit or a College degree in ministry, consider our Ministry and Leadership Program, which is also offered fully online.
