If you’re applying as a freshman international student, you must submit your official high school transcript and test scores. In order to be accepted an applicant must meet two of the following requirements:
- A GPA of at least 2.0
- Rank in the upper half of your graduating class
- A composite SAT score of *940 (based on the critical reading/verbal and math sections) or an ACT score of 18.
*SAT test taken prior to March 2016 must be an 860 or higher
In addition to meeting the criteria listed above, those whose first language is not English must have a suitable TOEFL score.
- A TOEFL score of 525 (for the paper test), 69 (for the internet-based), and 190 (for the computer test)
NOTE: All official transcripts will need to be evaluated by an approved organization, i.e. World Education Services, AACRAO, InCred, or National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
If you’re applying as a transfer international student, you will need:
- All official college transcripts must be sent to an approved organization, i.e. World Education Services, AACRAO, InCred, or National Association of Credential Evaluation Services for evaluation.
- A GPA of 2.0 or higher converted on a 4.0 scale
In addition to meeting the criteria listed above, those whose first language is not English must have a suitable TOEFL score.
- A TOEFL score of 525 (for the paper test), 69 (for the internet-based), and 190 (for the computer test).
TO APPLY:
- Contact your Admissions Counselor.
- Complete your free application online.
- Request that your official SAT or ACT test score be sent to OKWU(freshman only).
- Have your TOEFL scores sent to OKWU (if English is not your primary language).
Once you’re accepted, you will need to:
- Send the following documents to your Admissions Counselor:
– Copy of passport
– Copy of I-94 (if applicable)
– Copy of F-1 Student Visa (if applicable)
– Copy of most current I-20 (if applicable)
– Bank statement/proof of funds to cover at least one year of school costs (total cost provided by Admissions Counselor). If statement/funds are not in student’s name, sponsor letter must be included.
- Go over payment plan with your Admissions Counselor
– OKWU’s DSO will issue your new I-20 – If you are outside of the US, this is when you will schedule your interview with the American Embassy to obtain a Student Visa
- Schedule meeting with Admissions Counselor and provide initial payment for enrollment
- Attend Orientation or the first night of class
