Sports Marketing

Prepared for a changing future.

OKWU’s Bachelor of Science in Sports Marketing is designed to prepare students to excel in a career with a sports franchise or at a sports-related corporation. Whether students desire to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or continue with graduate studies, they will find themselves well prepared.

Students receive a solid background in broad business knowledge by taking the Business Core, including courses in strategy, management, marketing, economics, accounting, and finance. Additionally, students will focus on skills critical to success in sports marketing – public relations, advertising, and professional selling. Our award-winning faculty also help students gain an understanding of social media and ethical responsibility, both imperative skills for sports professionals.

Why OKWU?

We desire to instill in our graduates not only a technical mastery of the skills they will need in the field of sports marketing, but to integrate within that knowledge a firm foundation of Christian belief. Graduates are prepared to display poise, confidence, and integrity in their chosen field as effective witnesses for Christ in a significant national job market.

Sports Marketing majors will have the chance to explore all areas of business – marketing, leadership, finance, and public relations – and are taught to connect these disciplines to the science and promotion of sports in a unique, challenging curriculum.
