For the eleventh year in a row, U.S. News and World Report named Oklahoma Wesleyan in the Top Ten Colleges of the Western Region.
The 2013-2014 school year is in full swing and Oklahoma Wesleyan University is posting higher numbers than ever before. The student population is growing, the endowment is increasing, and the campus is expanding.
Oklahoma Wesleyan University is the only Christian college in Oklahoma to be named a Christian College of Distinction. Colleges of Distinction is a guide for high school juniors and seniors that focuses on what is actually important. The colleges are ranked on the level of student engagement, the faculty, the opportunities for involvement on campus, and the success of its graduates.
Leading OKWU’s nursing program into its promising future is the school’s dean, Becky Le. Becky Le joined the faculty in 2006 when she was working on her masters. She took a brief break to work on her doctorate, and has returned to serve as dean. During her time serving as dean, the school of nursing has received the maximum amount of duration of approval from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, and accreditation of the BSN degree from the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education.
