Mail Room/General Office Graduate Assistant

Function of Job

A person in this position will coordinate the daily operations of the Mail Room/General Office.  This is a year-round position and the person must be available during the 8am to 5pm work day.

 

Qualifications:
  • A growing relationship with Jesus
  • Acceptance into OKWU’s master’s program
  • The ability to maintain a 3.0 GPA in the master’s program
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized and reliable
  • Able to lift 50 pounds or less

 

Supervision Given/Received

 Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources.

Mail Room/General Office:
  • Overseeing the receiving and distribution of U.S. Mail, FedEx, and UPS mail and packages.
  • Overseeing the preparation of mail and packages to be mailed or shipped from the University.
  • Supervision and scheduling of Work Study students.
  • Answering the switchboard and directing calls.
  • Waiting on customers at the window.
  • Tracking and stocking office supplies for sale and toner distribution to departments.
  • Create monthly charge and order reports for Controller.
  • Maintain and update the extension list.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

University Service:
  • Work fall and spring commencement
  • Provide service during special university events, as needed
