Stacy Pierce

Professor Stacy Pierce received her B.S. from Trevecca Nazarene University and her M.A. from Western Carolina University. She feels strongly about her calling to OKWU, confident in the fact that God has put her in place and affirmed her position. She works hard to create a “lightbulb moment” in each of her students, when something clicks and understanding is achieved, and she’s passionate about caring for her students holistically, not just in the classroom.

“Once you’re in my classroom, you’re part of my family. You are my student; you are my kid. Once you’re here, you’re here with me. I will do my level best to take care of you, but it also means I will hold you accountable when you aren’t meeting our expectations or if you’re slacking off in class. I will hold you accountable to that.”
