Who Qualifies?

Tulsa Police Academy Partnership – Eligible individuals pursuing a career in law enforcement through the partnership with the Tulsa Police Department and OKWU. Your final 27 credit hours will be earned while attending the Tulsa Police Academy. Conditions apply—check eligibility requirements.

Future Police Officers – You have a verifiable conditional job offer from a law enforcement agency where your employment is contingent upon completing your OKWU degree and successfully passing the appropriate police academy. The completion of the police academy counts for 27 credit hours toward your OKWU degree.

Current Law Enforcement Officers – You are already a sworn officer and want to complete your degree to advance your career. If you’ve completed a qualifying law enforcement certification, you can receive 27 credit hours toward your degree.

Note: This program is exclusive to individuals (21+ years of age) with a conditional law enforcement job offer or those currently serving as officers at the city, county, state, or federal level.

Through OKWU’s partnership with the Tulsa Police Department (TPD), qualifying students can earn an online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Criminal Justice emphasis, completing their final 27 credit hours at the Tulsa Police Academy. Benefits of this partnership include:
