Our students study under experienced professionals in the fields of science and mathematics who are committed to integrating real-world experience with classroom curriculum. The Biochemistry program offers students the chance to gain practical scientific experience in the community – including our Caney Water Quality Project, a point of connection between OKWU and the surrounding scientific community.
Many graduates of the Biochemistry program pursue careers in health and medicine, but that’s not all that’s available. Other opportunities include industrial and research biochemistry, biotechnology, education, pharmacology, law, engineering, and even forensic science. Recent OKWU grads are working at medical clinics, pursuing healthcare technical degrees, or have been accepted into graduate programs. No matter your goals, our dedicated professors will work with you to achieve them.
