Job Description:

Job Description:
The work-study students maintain the ACE office and are the face of ACE. They greet all visitors and assist in scheduling and maintaining the calendar of tutorial appointments. Additionally, they assist in checking students in and out, helping students stay on task/monitoring the room. In addition, they help the director in sending emails, filing, shredding, and data entry. If a work-study is a junior or senior with a high GPA in his/her major, he/she will also tutor students. It is vital that ACE has a tutor from each of the main areas of study who excels in that area. Confidentiality, exceptional grade point average, computer fluency, and a good social presence are essential.

Events work-study students are responsible for having incredible customer service, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, professionalism, and confidentiality. The work-study is responsible for assisting in planning, preparing, and facilitating events on/off campus for the University. The work-study student will provide a range of library services including circulation desk responsibilities. This includes checking items in and out, assist students with research and other information needs, shelving books, shelf reading, answering phone, and providing general customer related services. Other responsibilities may include running errands, assisting in inventory processes, straightening books, sorting mail, processing books, cataloging periodicals, dusting books, light cleaning and various other miscellaneous tasks. The Information Technology Work Study students support the Department by assisting students, staff and faculty by phone, email and in person with their technology questions and problems, hardware and software support, and installation and configuration of equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to: OKWU account maintenance, Fixing computer issues (rebuilding hard drives, virus cleaning, etc.), helping with student registration, library computers, classroom technology, print driver installation, organizing and setting up for Game Night, configuring new machines, office cleaning, inventory management, data entry, various software installation tasks, and answering phones in the office.
