The Office of Student Financial Services is here to help you figure out the financing for your higher education so that money does not stand in the way of making your dreams a reality.
Where does my aid come from?
Three main avenues of aid are available to OKWU students. They are each awarded separately, so in order to receive the most financial assistance, all three (Federal Aid, Institutional Aid, and Community Aid) should be pursued.
Federal Aid
Every student who wants to qualify for Federal financial aid at OKWU fills out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Institutional Aid
OKWU provides monetary awards to pass on savings. Awards are available through part-time jobs, athletics, and academics.
Community Aid
Civic groups, churches, and other sponsors award scholarships and fellowships to OKWU students each year – that’s free money!
What kind of aid is out there?
Different types of aid can make up a financial aid package.
Grants
Grants are funds that are not repaid. Various Federal and Institutional grants are offered to qualified OKWU students.
Scholarships
Scholarships are funds that are not repaid. They are usually awarded as prizes and come from many, many different sources.
