Bachelor of Arts in Music Business
OKWU’s Bachelor of Arts in Music Business is a dynamic degree that blends music, business, and communication studies into a powerful curriculum designed for the modern music industry. With 30 credit hours in specialized music training and additional coursework in audio, video, and graphic design, students are equipped to pursue diverse paths in the industry.
Students can choose from one of three career-focused tracks:

Artist Track – Designed for performers and creatives, this track blends vocal and instrumental training with songwriting and music business courses. Ideal for students looking to launch their own music careers while mastering the business behind the art.

Management Track – Built for future industry leaders, this track emphasizes business fundamentals like accounting, marketing, and management to prepare students for careers in label operations, artist management, or music entrepreneurship.

Technical Track – Perfect for behind-the-scenes professionals, this track combines music business coursework with hands-on training in music production and A/V technology, building a strong foundation for roles in audio engineering, live sound, and production.

The Business Behind the Music
The OKWU Music Program is part of a vibrant community, providing students with several opportunities for real-world experiences and connections. Participation in OKWU ensembles, chapel worship teams, area churches, the Bartlesville Choral Society, and the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra offers opportunities for leading worship and performance. Additionally, internships at the Bartlesville Community Center and the Performing Arts Center are also available, depending on the student’s area of study.
