The Children’s Summer Theatre Camp is a two-week, immersive performance experience where young actors bring a full theatrical production to life—from first rehearsal to final curtain call. Campers arrive with their roles already cast and lines memorized, then spend two dynamic weeks working alongside experienced directors and staff to rehearse, stage, and perform a full-length Jr. drama or musical for a live audience. Along the way, students grow not only as performers, but as collaborators, storytellers, and leaders—learning how to glorify God through their creativity and character.

Who Should Attend?
Open to students entering 4th–12th grade who love theatre, music, storytelling, or performing. This camp is ideal for students ready to commit to a focused rehearsal schedule and grow their gifts in a supportive, faith-centered environment.

Audition Information: Auditions are March 5th, 6th from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM; March 7th from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM; Callbacks are March 7th from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at OKWU's Fine Arts Building, Lyon Hall. Simply select a day that works best for you. Be prepared to give a 30 - 60 second monologue, or cutting of a play, or poem, or story, and a 30 - 60 second snippet of a song, sung a cappella.

Actors are asked to help provide some basic costume pieces (shoes, tights, basic skirt, pants, vests, etc.) Actors are also asked not to cut, color, or make drastic changes to their hair or appearance without prior discussion with the director. Rehearsals are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Mondays - Saturdays, and the performances are June 5 and 6, 7:00 PM. Even if you are unsure of specific times or days, please give us a general idea.
