OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY
Everything we do at Oklahoma Wesleyan University is centered on our mission—to develop and send servant leaders who advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
The 2026 OKWU Impact Report reflects a year marked by growth, calling, and Kingdom impact. Across campus and beyond, students are being formed, leaders are being equipped, and lives are being sent. This is more than progress—it is transformation in motion.
2026 Impact Report
Forming Servant Leaders
Every story has impact. Every life has purpose.
During a year shaped by the chapel theme “Seek First,” students were invited to pursue Christ above all else. That pursuit led to visible moments of transformation, including baptisms this spring—public declarations of lives surrendered to God’s calling.
Events like GO Week 2025 created powerful moments of worship, teaching, and response, calling students to live out their faith across cultures and communities. We celebrated these key Spiritual Life moments:
- 20 Baptisms
- 60 Serve Projects
- 59 Chapels
Expanding Academic Impact
This year, the Class of 2026, 170 graduates strong, stepped forward ready to live out the call to Be One Sent. OKWU continues to grow its academic reach with programs designed for real-world leadership.
Across campus, community remains a defining strength. From summer camps engaging the next generation to events like the Nursing Symposium connecting professionals, OKWU continues to create spaces where people grow, connect, and lead.
New graduate programs launching in Fall 2026, including MS Sports Leadership and MA Counseling Psychology—expand opportunities for students to lead in high-impact fields. A streamlined MA in Strategic Leadership offers a 1-year flexible pathway for working professionals.
Faculty continue to model excellence in scholarship and teaching, advancing research, publishing nationally, and mentoring students with both academic rigor and spiritual depth.
Excellence in Athletics
OKWU Athletics continues to build a culture of excellence, with student-athletes competing at high levels while representing Christ with integrity.
From conference honors to national recognition, the Eagles are growing in both performance and impact. New programs—including cheer and men’s volleyball—expand opportunities, with women’s flag football launching in Fall 2026.
Eagles are on the rise:
- 5 KCAC Regular Season Champions
- 4 KCAC Tournament Champions
- 6 NAIA Final Site Appearances
- 2 Final Four Finishes (Women’s Soccer)
- 5 KCAC Players of the Year
- Multiple All-Americans across programs
Alumni Impact
We also pause to honor the lives of faithful servant leaders, OKWU Alumni, whose legacy continues to shape this community. Their investment in students and mission leaves an eternal impact.
Building for the Future Now
The NOW Campaign continues to shape the future of OKWU through strategic investment in students and campus life. With more than $22.6 million given or intended gifts, key projects are moving forward:
- Wert Hall Renovations – Enhancing student living with modern upgrades, reopening Fall 2026
- Softball Complex Relocation – A $590,000 investment supporting athletic growth, opening Spring 2027
- Give Week demonstrated the strength of the OKWU community, raising over $192,000 toward student-centered improvements.
This momentum reflects a shared commitment to investing in what matters most—students. Better spaces. Stronger community.
Stories That Multiply Impact
Behind every number is a story—servant leaders discovering their calling, alumni leading in churches and communities, and donors investing in future generations. God is at work through the people of OKWU, and the momentum of this year points forward with purpose.
None of this happens apart from the faithful prayers and generosity of those who believe in this mission. Thank you for standing with OKWU—for every life shaped, every space renewed, and every step forward in advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
As we look ahead to a new academic year, we do so with gratitude for what God has done and faith for what He will do next. We invite you to continue praying with us—for our students, our faculty, and the mission we share.
Together, we move forward in a year of faithful momentum.
