GPS Admissions Counselor

Cytina Taylor

My name is Cytina Taylor and I live in Bartlesville, OK. I have been married for almost 28 years, and have two children and a grandchild. I have always been passionate about ministry in one way or another, which is what originally drew me to OKWU. I was an HR Administrator at the Voice of the Martyrs for almost ten years before deciding to make a change. I joined the university in the financial aid office for a year and then transitioned into my current position as an enrollment manager.

The best part about my job is…

I enjoy being able to help people reach their goals. Because it is the adult program, many of our students haven’t been in school for several years and they are often nervous about making that leap. I love being able to encourage them and help them make that possible!

OKWU is special because…

I love that we are a Christian university, and we express that all over our campus. Because we are smaller, it feels like family. I think it allows us to build relationships with our students because we do walk through the entire enrollment process with them.

I’d tell a prospective student…

Don’t panic! We are here to help you each step of the way. We want to set you up for success. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you are struggling, reach out to us and let us try to help you!

When I’m not working, I like to…

Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do. I also sing on our worship team at church; I enjoy watching a good movie, reading, and going to the lake.
