Shawn Woods

Shawn Woods has served as the head softball coach for the Lady Eagles since 2021.

Woods, who is originally from Beebe, Arkansas, joined the OKWU coaching staff after serving as the head softball coach of Pangburn High School in Pangburn, Arkansas, for four years. During his tenure at Pangburn, his team won 70% of its games, and Woods saw seven of his players receive scholarships to play softball at the collegiate level.

A graduate of Lyon College, Woods played four years of baseball at the collegiate level.

In his first year as coach of the Lady Eagles, he coached the team to a 31-17 record and 4th place finish in the KCAC. He coached 9 athletes who were named to the All-KCAC Teams, as well as one who was honored as an NAIA and NCCAA All-American.

Woods and his wife, Casey, have three children: son Keegan and daughters Clara and Colbie. Woods believes his responsibility as coach extends far beyond the softball diamond.
