Theatre Major Scholarship — Up to $5,000/year

Must enroll in Theatrical Production (1 credit) every semester for 8 semesters, participate in every production as cast or crew, and take on leadership or design roles when not cast in a major part. Must major in Theatre.

Cannot be combined with percentage off tuition scholarships or athletic agreements.

Theatre Minor Scholarship — $2,000/year

Must enroll in Theatrical Production (1 credit) every semester for 8 semesters and audition for every production/student film, serving in cast or crew roles as assigned.

What is the purpose of the BA in Theatre at OKWU?

How many credit hours are required?

120 credit hours, including core coursework, internship, and a capstone project.

Is an internship required?

Yes—students complete a supervised internship with a theatre, ministry, film, or arts organization.

What will I learn?

Acting, directing, stagecraft, theatrical design, voice & movement, theatre history, text analysis, stage management, auditioning, and much more.

Yes—approved undergraduate credits may transfer into the program.
