AGS renamed Graduate & Professional Studies and plans move to virtual Tulsa campus.

Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) at Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU) is committed to helping individuals stand apart through innovative programs, from undergraduate degrees to professional and graduate degrees. We are excited to share two important updates regarding the evolution of AGS and how this change will benefit you.

We are delighted to announce that our name will be changing as of July 2020 to Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS). Additionally, the Tulsa campus is moving to a virtual office beginning in January 2021.

Since AGS began in 1986, the landscape of online learning has dramatically changed. This new name, Graduate & Professional Studies, better reflects the needs of students and the quality programs offered by OKWU. As part of the University rebranding effort, GPS will be adopting a new logo. This letter is intended to provide notice of these changes to all marketing materials.

OKWU has also announced that its Tulsa office, currently housing the AGS program, will move to a virtual office in order to better serve its students and community. OKWU will continue serving the Tulsa market with convenient, 100% online courses and degrees.

These changes impact the physical location in Tulsa. By February 2021, the physical Tulsa campus will not renew its lease and will transition to a virtual office model.

Students whose on-site course of study extends into 2021 will be given specific options to finish their degree program on time. In the coming days, each student will receive from their academic advisor a customized plan of study to complete their degree, either online or at the university’s Bartlesville campus.

“AGS is open for business, in Tulsa and beyond, to ensure OKWU students have access to services that they need,” said Dr. Brett Andrews, Vice President for GPS. “These changes will enhance online access to services while continuing to provide excellent student services.”

OKWU’s committed GPS enrollment team and academic advisement team are available by enhanced services online and by phone. For more information on this transition and virtual office services, please review www.okwu.edu/adult or contact us at 866-225-6598 or ags@okwu.edu
