It’s Homecoming Week, and like everything else happening in 2020, this year’s celebration is going to look a little different.

While we regret not being able to invite our alumni back on campus for the festivities, we’re excited about the opportunities to connect virtually this week. Here are four ways current students and alumni can get in on the fun this week:

1. Class Reunion Zoom Calls

For some graduating classes, we’ve provided opportunities to reconnect with old classmates. This Saturday, be sure to log on and reminisce with friends about your days as an Eagle. Register to receive your Zoom invitation by emailing your name and reunion year to

2. Facebook Contests

Through our OKWU Alumni Facebook page, you can stay involved all week long. Put your skills to the test in our Pumpkin Carving Contest by carving either our Eagle logo or the La Quinta tower. Plus: how well do you know OKWU and its preceding schools? Test your knowledge by entering our Trivia Contest on Friday between Noon and 6 P.M.

More details about both these contests can be found here

3. Spirit Days

Students Boating on PondOur students on campus have been taking part in Spirit Days this week, and it’s not too late to join us from a distance! Celebrate Out of This World Wednesday today, wear your favorite sports team tomorrow, and show your OKWU pride on Friday (maybe with our new branding!) Send us a picture to let us know how you’re celebrating.

4. Attend Games

Just because you can’t come to campus this year doesn’t mean you can’t support our Eagles on the field! Check out our live stream to watch all the action this weekend, and catch the Homecoming Coronation Ceremony in between soccer games on Saturday.

We can’t wait to see you this week, even from a distance! For full details on these events and everything else going on this week, be sure to check our Alumni Facebook page and the website.

Go Eagles!
